The point is…
To pull the several strings of my experience as a resident of Earth together and thereby, create a fairly pixelated portrait of my time, my heart and my mind.

Bio
Nate Rabe. Born and raised in India. Educated in the USA. Living in Australia. At various stages I’ve been a missionary and a mercenary. Was born (and will die) a misfit.
What I do
Most of my working life has been spent working internationally as what was once quaintly known as an ‘aid worker’. But throughout my years I’ve been a housepainter, a bartender, a taxi driver, tried my hand at MLM, a music journalist, a novelist, translator, carnie, waiter, an Executive and Partner, and cook.
What I write (about)
Music, India, memoir, historical fiction, aid, Pakistani cinema, South Asian music, fiction, photography, history, non-fiction.
(some of)My (current) interests
Forgotten country rock music of the 1970s. Soul music of the 70s. South Asian popular culture. Christian evangelicalism. Biblical archeology. Photography. History (British, American, Indian, African). The Anglo-Indian community. Missionaries, Mercenaries and Misfits. Colonialism. Cricket. AFL (St. Kilda Saints). The music of Bob Dylan and Pathane Khan. This crumbling world.
